The prestigious Manager of the Year award is presented to the CPM®
who has made noteworthy contributions to the business world, bringing
favorable attention to himself/ herself and other CPM® members.
This individual has fulfilled the duties of elective and
appointed office, worked on committees, promoted IREM membership
and education, adheres to the Code of Ethics, supports both IREM
local and national programs, uses the CPM® designa-tion on business
cards and letterhead, and is active in supporting other community projects and activities.

Leo David Education Award
This award was established in 1982 in memory of the
late Leo David, CPM®, who was a great inspiration and instructor
to many CPM® members in Chapter 8. Mr. David taught IREM courses
at American University, with a focus on continuing education in
the field of property management. The award recipient is a CPM® member or
Candidate who has continuously promoted property management education;
working toward improving relations with the local government and the community,
and who is active in Chapter activities.

W. Donald Calomiris Humanitarian Award
This award was established in 1987 in
memory of the late W. Donald Calomiris, CPM®.
Mr. Calomiris was an active member of the Greater
Metropolitan Washington Chapter 8 and served as a
mentor for many Chapter members. He was very active on
the National level, serving as IREM's National President in 1967.
Mr. Calomiris was also highly involved in numerous community and
civic affairs. The award recipient is a CPM® member who
follows these same standards.

(formerly Hughes Computer Services). The award is used at the
discretion of the selectee for furtherance of his/her education.

been outstanding in the advancement of knowledge and professionalism
in the field of property management.
